feeding the soul

thank you for your lovely comments and understand re my "incidents" last week.
the week was not the kindest to me, further things happened, that I won't go into.
Because it's the weekend and the worst is over and I'm feeling heaps better . Because when "shit happens" so to speak, i turn to certain things that feed my soul, speak to my heart and my inner self, if that makes sense, without sounding to namby pamby.
And it always works they always work a charm,
there are the words and wisdoms on Michael Leunig ( above)
My favourite album of all time

Making bears ( surprise surpise,) whether it's crochet or mohair
  Kermit
and
Felix respecitvely

the music of Darren Hanlon and the dearly departed Lucksmiths.

Long walks , going to the market,
a murder mystery or two.
And hanging with my fam,
do you having anything you turn to at times that speak to your heart? put you back together?
i'd love to know.

leunig works for me too (and the curly haired girl - her favourite is the "types of happiness" including "3 minutes of happiness borrowed from a dog" (or cat in our house)...)
I really hope next week is kinder to you xo

Actually, yes I do... you are so right Jess! Such good advice :) It probably sounds weird but when I'm really down and have lost faith in people I watch a Jane Austen movie... It is weird, isn't it? haha... Some kind of strange mental reversion to a time when people were honourable and good actions were rewarded with a happy ending..? Glad you're feeling on top of things again :) Kx

SO glad you are feeling better J!
I've got to say hugs (along with a bit of reassurance from loved ones) to be the main thing around here!
Knowing that someone cares makes all the difference sometimes.

ps.its a new week tomorrow, yay!!!XXXOOO

When things are bad I try to go to an aquarium, seeing huge fish and gorgeous strange animals reminds me that there is whole world out there.

I love the way you feed your soul.

Listening to music and playing with yarn soothes my panic, stress, anxiety and woes. A good comedy romance is pretty good too... as it my ultimate comfort food - dhal, rice and yoghurt. Simple food I know... but there is something in that simplicity that just soothes me and brings the turmoil inside a bit of peace.
