Forgetting ( and then refinding) Flickr

Many moons ago, before Instagram, Pintrest and Twitter, i would spend a lot of time on Flickr. It's a great way to get inspiration, share your own photos, and crafty makings and was a great way of meeting lovely peeps.
People are so generally lovely on Flickr and post nice comments and cute things.
But somehow in the mix of life , and the above, I sort of forgot about flickr, stop uploading pics, stopped browsing etc.
Yesterday after a nice conversation with a buyer of one of my bears, she mentioned Flickr and i suddenly realised how long it had been since i was on there.
And so I uploaded some new pics and browsed a bit.
And within not much time at all there were lovely comments from peeps and Flickr friends and i remembered why i loved it so much.
to be honest it almost broke my heart , the way after all this time, the pals I had made years before were still there.
Gee i love my flickr friends.
Flickr is really like old school instagram and while it's a bit more work, but it's worth it ( to me anyway) It's a bit more public, you can join groups and send pics to them. It's a great way to promote stuff if you make things. And the people are so nice.
So yes FLickr might be a bit of an oldie in terms of social media but in my eyes it's a goodie.
