Sniffle

Ok perhaps I should have checked the weather. But this is not how this post was supposed to go.
NOT at all.
It was meant to be where I unveiled a vision of red and white spendour, streamers woven in stripes covering the entire fence, with the balloons to accent it.
Believe me even at 9.30pm when I finished and stood back and took it in, it looked magnificent.
I was so proud , the idea i had in my head, looked soo much better than i imagined.
and it took me about an hour and half. ( you can't say I don't love my boys)
but now it's saggy pink soggy mess.
that at some point i have to deal with.
and no i don't have the heart to do it all again, especially as I checked the weather and we're in for a weekend of it.
I hope its not a abad omen for my boys.
Ahh well there are much bigger problems and sadnesses it the world
Keep warm and dry out there xo

Oh dear, what a heartbreak. At least you had that brilliant moment of satisfaction of a beautiful job. Small consolation I know. Cheer up buttercup.

Oh, Possum. Oh dear. Pom poms? (in a nice cheap acrylic yarn so the water/hail just drips off?)...

It still looks festive and the spirit is there! At the end of the day, it's the spirit that counts :) Great job Jess. Kx
