Plucking,
staining,
and generally making lots of mess.
Possibly my favourite part of this process is the experimenting. I've discovered some new, improved and highly technological ways of ageing the mohair- sitting on a leg does wonders in terms of felting and squishing.

It's a Colin cousin! (I imagine hairy coverings is an occupational hazard)...
Do you ever accidentally leave the house covered in fluff?
I love your work!
Looks so wonderfully creative. I love experimenting too.
Lee:)
This sort of creating and experimentation is what makes them all so original and different!
Looking good you clever thing!XX
But how can you tolerate the "OUCH!" cries as you pluck! It's the reason I stopped at making only one bear!
All your bears have such character. I love his (or her, but bears always scream his to me) sweet face. Happy experimenting.
He's lovely, Jess, and I always get a kick out of seeing what goes into the making of a (dare I say it?)...wonkling.
I love seeing your creative process.
I had to laugh at Cam's comment.
happy day sweet one ♥
Experimenting is so much fun, I do it a lot when I get the dye pots out and it is just like being back at school but without supervision.
Who us?? Sane?? Never!!
I love the way you work Ms Jess.
I like your kind of technology, Jess! xo
