the last two sundays I've been at an all day drawing course, Drawing for cartooning.
We covered things like constructing your characters, perspective, forshorting and line of action.
All basic to many of you I'm sure but totally new to me.
When I draw I usually just draw, draw a bear, not construct it from circles and lines.
At first I struggled with it all, and felt inhibited by it, but once the teacher worked it through with me and constructed my character, I started to get it.
By the end of it, I'm feeling my drawing is getting better from it.
Hope you've had a great Sunday

I desperately need to know what disco song is blaring from that stereo?
Great sketches Jess. He is so full of character and movement. It is good to learn different ways to do things now and again. Your description reminds me of the first cartooning book I learned to draw from when I was little. I will get it out tonight and revisit some of the lessons I think.
