I realise I didn't really plan my posts very well because my pics and what I'm doing is pretty much the same, making for a rather boring post so sorry about that.
Anyway, I'm still working on the same bear for Mich's baby, lucky unlike last week, it seems my EITTTS to have passed ( will not completely confirm until bear is done, as have little wobbles every now and then about head), and at least I'm back to really enjoying it and feeling some what compodent. SO today I'm still ageing, with my trusty scissors, tweezers and now the addition of sandpaper. a process that takes a long time, but I absolutley love it, and can't really be rushed because I want to be as authentic as I can. I like to study my old/antique bears for this see the patterns of wear on them, and see how the markings of love and time have affected him, whether a more sparse/bald left side, body or nose.
for more creative spaces pop over to Kirstys.
Note- I use the tweezers for plucking, thinning and balding the mohai, sandpaper takes the sheen and some of the newness of the mohair and gives it split ends. All my old guys have TERRIBLE split ends.

He's looking great...what do you use the tweezers for?
I think your posts about bear making are fascinating. Who would have known that you have to age bears let alone the actual process. Your passion comes through in your descriptions. X
Looking very handsome. Please don't ever stop making bears. I love seeing them come to life.
He's looking wonderful and scary all at the same time. I don't think I have the tummy for dismembered animals and dolls. They scare me a little. Haha. xo m.
Aging a teddy bear never occurred to me--fascinating! I love things that look worn and loved, so I think it's great!
