Breaking and entering- New career path?

I don't want to sound vain, or anything, but I'm rather proud of myself. On the weekend Mum and I managed to lock our selves out of her place. WE were finally coming to conclusion that we would have to break a window, when I discovered some wire, and well unlocked the back door or sort of stuck it through the door to unlatch it. I haven't been so satisfised and excited for a while, and can sort of see the thrill in doing it.

Bear Radio

Today Wilbur joined my for my practice session in the studio. It was partly because one of the presenter encouraged us to bring something in that we could talk to, because it can feel a little weird rabbiting on away to yourself. Secondly it was a bit of a comfort to me, having something soft and wonky, amoungst all those scary buttons and technical stuff. He even had a little go on Mic.
As for me, well I perhaps did a bit better, no to many huge gaps of silence, but at one point I did accidentally fast forward the track I was playing rather than the one I was cuing, which made for some interesting radio. But never-the-less I'm not sure this is my cup of tea.

How good is this guy?

My creative space

This week I've been working on a polar bear for part of a very special swap with an amazing artist ( that front longy head thing). I feel completely and utterly honoured that he even knows who I am, let alone want something of mine! Its been very exciting down here at my end. ( I think I did a little skip)
Also the current Colin head with Gus ( his inspiration ) and Peabody the second. ( A more gentle soul than the last Peabody, who created havoc.)
Pop over to Kirsty for more inspirating creative spaces.

Gocco Love

Tonight at the wonderful Brown Owls, we did Gocco printing. It was so much fun, so quick and so satisfying. Pip gave us excellent clear instructions, bought 3 different prints we could make, and we all got to make as many of them as we wanted!! I have to say I'm totally in love, Gocco rocks and I'm all lit up and excited with the possibilities of it. There is nothing like learning a new exciting craft.
Thanks Pip!!!

Stuff

I've been a little absent of late. Far too much running around, time on or waiting for public transport ,not enough bear making and crafting, and sleeping.
The funny thing is in the past week when I've sat down to work on a bear, I get overwhelmed by which one to work on ( 4 on the go) flit between each of them, head obsessing and what not, and feel I get little done.
I've been in the studio, and well you think the second practice would go better, it didn't it went worse! HA! Please don't try to reassure, I'm not very good at this, and I don't really mind. I find it quite funny actually. And nice how comforting it is to be back to some bear stuff and also to be fine with not being good at the whole radio presenting shebang. YOu know what I mean? Anyway probably the most painful thing about studio session practice two was the fact that we are told to record ourselves, and listen back to it and therefore live through every little mistake! Ha ha, this was literally a 3 or 4 minute bit of silence and I'm not sure I've heard anyone use the work UM so much! At least I got a bit of a laugh.

Help!

I have chilblains ! Which if you don't know what they are, it's when your fingers or toes get  too cold, and they swell up, hurt and itch like something else, and generally go a lovely blotchy red and ugly.Does anyone suffer from them too? Does anyone know any good tips?Apparently according to mum ( who gets them too) and the chemist there is little to be done. I got the lotion for them, but it seems to make them worse. Anyone know any secret tips? I can't really bear to think ( no pun intended) or a whole itchy winter of this!
