My first ever ( wonky) Potholder

I'm making some potholders for my mum for Christmas. And I've finished my first one, but i'm a bit worried about it, I followed the pattern exactly and it sort of doesn't sit flat and sort of ruffles. Do you think it looks bad? I asked my dad, he thinks it's the nature of it, but you know dads men they don't really know a lot of things. Trust me to make a wonky potholder, and I wasn't even trying to make it wonky.
I'd love any HONEST thoughts, I want her to really love it you know?

I love it! So many of the ones I make look like that. I leave them under my laptop over night to try to flatten them but it never really works. I have plans today to spray a fine mist of water over the one I made last night and then try to stretch it into shape and pin it like that so it dries flat. I think that's what people mean by blocking. I'll let you know.

I love it Jess, it's gorgeous and it's made with love. And who wants perfect pot holders anyway? But I do think what Kate's saying about making it a little damp and then blocking it might help. But damn fool, I love that pot holder. What a beautiful gift.

I love it Jess! I think it came out just fine! It's pretty, and made with love, and really, as long as it does the job of keeping your Mom safe from getting burned, it's great!
