No line up this week, just one little unfinished bear who's been causing all sorts of problems. This little is made from one of my favourite fancy fuzzy yarns I got from Imagiknit in the States, and the great appeal of it is that his body and his head don't look crocheted and I really like that effect . The only problem with that is, well it's really hard to crochet because you don't know where you are!! It's funny it has taken me back to when I first started to crochet, the pace the concentration and in the end, I sort of hard to crochet by feeling where the next stitch is. The whole thing has been a slow and long process and quite different to when I usually make an ami guy, I'm so used to using wool and alpaca which stuffs and stretches differerntly to this acrylic yarn, and also it's a much bulkier yarn than I usually use. I've really had to make it the pattern as I go along, because it's all been a bit of an experiment. He's been causing me a great case of the wobbles, even in his nose and pinned on head not fully stuffed state unfinished state, I do hope it's going to be worth it, because at times I've felt like giving up..
I'd love any thoughts!!

Oh, don't give up! He is going to be beautiful! I wouldn't have thought he was crocheted until you said. Great effect.
THanks SOOO much Selina! You are too kind!
i think he will be worth it! he looks lovely and cuddly. he reminds me of those bears you used to get a long time ago, don't really see them now, i have no idea what they were made of ..
I always wondered what to do with yarn like that..I love your little bear he is too cute. MUST finish....I think it's perfect!!
Awww such as cutie! It really doesn't look like crochet with that yarn... just lovely fuzzy wuzzy fabric.
What a dear little fella, keep going! He's gorgeous! xo
He's just so cute Jess...keep going.
He is divine Jess! I cannot believe he is crocheted.Look at him looking at you...you can't give up on that face.
Wow, I can't believe he's crochet. You simply must keep going, he's too cute not to find himself in some loving arms.
I must admit to a little laugh as I thought, how could that poor little fella cause any trouble? He doesn't even have any arms or legs to make a mess!!! So then I figured he's probably just been mouthing off!!
You acn't give up. He is just too cute.
Don't you dare- he is way to hug-worthy! xo Meagan.
I totally had a joke about him being really very harmless (or beary 'armless hehehehe...) but I realised just in time that it wasn't very funny... ;)
He's cute, really, what there is of him!
Spanks for stopping by my blog & leaving such a nice comment... :D
Oh My Goodness Jess! You've got something new and different here and i vote that you keep going and finish him up! I think he is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! And you know how it is when you start something new...It goes slowly and awkwardly and we all feel like we want to quit because who wants to feel that way when you are doing something you normally enjoy! But really Jess, this little one is a keeper, and i bet once you finish him and work out the kinks, the next (hundred ;)bears like him will get much easier! I love him!
Oh wow! That little guy is so cute. I wish I was a whizz with wool. (Try saying that quickly!?!)
hmmm...i know and appreciate that feeling..i take a break from these things and go to another..then the ideas or desire returns..the will to finish/achieve...i love the crocheted effect...he is going to be one handsome ted..:)
