Firstly I would like to say bless my mum, she has kept so much of what I've made over the years or requested I make her "a collection" which makes Friday Archives a lot easier.
I made this quilt in my redwork/bluework phase.( Excuse the wrinkles, it's been folded up for a while) All the patterns are vintage, including the Teddy bear days of the week. I thought it might be nice to do this one because it was in this time I came up with my name, Teddy Bears Wednesday. I loved all the vintage children patterns used in the old redwork/bluework quilts, especially with no surprise all the bear patterns and the days of the week patterns, and my favourite patterns of all were the Teddy Bear Days of Week. I had struggled for a name for my little crafty business, and didn't want it to be anything like Beary Cute etc, ( no offence to anyoen who has that name). So when I found this, I got my name because on Wednesday teddy sews, and it seemed all perfect and sounded quite good. Because I make bears and I'm a bit of a bear I guess, although Wednesday is everyday for me, and at the time I was doing redwork too. The header on my blog is from this quilt and pattern series. ( So to anyone who was wondering if I embroidered it for my blog, the answer is no)
I also included a close up shot of one of the other blocks/patterns that I love, the ready for a dip Bear, love the expression on his face and the caption, which is quite typical of redwork patterns.
Thanks Loobylu as always for Friday Archives.

Thank you all so much!!! Mare, the new bear is progressing slowly, reject head 4 is differently getting there, but still not quite what I wanted and I don't want to finish him until I'm happy. These ones take some time, Sorry!! It might be a while yet...
