Friday Archives-A Sampler

I made this Sampler, in 2000, ( obviously). I've always loved those old samplers, especially the more primitve ones, done by children, with little mistakes and wonks, and always wanted some by I could never afford them. I dyed the linen, in a mixture of coffee, tea, and vanilla essence, strunched up to give it an old stained appearance, and used light threads to give it that old faded look. Without wanting to sound vain I think it turned out well.
Thanks always to Loobylu for coming up with Friday Archives!

Hi Jess,
The sampler is lovely! I just came across two i made while i was pregnant for my first child(many many years ago) and they look better than i remembered. I'll have to press and frame them, and maybe offer them to my daughters....Have a great weekend Jess! (how's that new bear coming along?;)
